To further enhance the performance of our line of high-output alternators, we now offer a belt tensioning device specifically for Yanmar JH, YM, QM, GM and HM Series of marine engines (please specify your engine model when ordering).
This simple device eliminates the need to tension the belt using a stick or screw driver that requires the installer to have three arms. Now with the turning of a bolt you can easily achieve the perfect belt tension level for your Yanmar engine. NOTE: TENSIONER WILL NOT WORK ON ANY V-BELT CONFIGURATION!
Key Benefits The belt will never slip as the alternator is held firmly in place. It Eliminates slippage and greatly increases belt life. Simple replacement bolt-on, no additional brackets required, and a Universal fit on most Yanmar marine engines. The tensioner on its own will not eliminate belt dust!
Fits under plastic belt cover, the engine runs quieter, and it’s the most effective when combined with our Serpentine Pulley Upgrade Kits.
Note For higher amperage alternators (over 100 amps) this devices needs to be combined with a Serpentine Pulley Upgrade Kit manufactured by ElectroMaax for your specific Yanmar engine.
