Victron Energy Smart BMS CL 12-100

This is a replacement for the older 12-200 BMS and represents a considerable upgrade on the concept. The main change is that this operates on the positive side of the circuit which makes life a lot easier, especially for marine applications. You can use it with any MultiPlus by connecting it (with a special cable) to the remote on-off switch of the MultiPlus. This greatly simplifies installation as no special programming of the MultiPlus is required. This is in general intended for smaller systems (like camper vans) because it is specifically designed to limit charging from the alternator. Alternator current will be limited to approximately 80% of the value of whatever fuse you fit. The device is supplied with a 100 amp fuse which limits the current to about 80 Amps. The max fuse allowed is 125 Amps, the smallest fuse available is 60 Amps, and for smaller currents an adapter is included which allows you to use smaller fuses.
