The Victron Smart BMS 12/100 is an all-in-one battery management system for Victron Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart batteries, designed for 12V systems with a 12V alternator such as vehicles and boats.
It combines a current limiter, battery combiner, and battery protector in one compact unit, letting you safely connect a 12V alternator and starter battery, along with loads and chargers, to Smart Lithium batteries.
The BMS monitors and protects each individual cell in the battery or battery bank, disconnecting the alternator, charge sources, or DC loads if it detects low cell voltage, high cell voltage, or over temperature.
The dedicated alternator connection provides current limiting and one-way current flow from the alternator into the battery, so any size alternator and starter battery can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium battery bank while protecting the starter battery from excessive discharge.
Built-in Bluetooth allows monitoring and configuration from your phone. A remote on/off connector lets you shut down the BMS (and system) via a remote switch, and a pre-alarm contact provides a warning signal before the BMS disconnects the batteries.
