Victron Lithium NG 12.8V/100Ah LiFePO4 Battery – BAT512110620

The Victron Energy Lithium NG 12.8V/100Ah is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery for marine, RV, cabin, off-grid and home backup systems. It delivers 1280Wh of nominal energy, up to 2,500 cycles at 80% depth of discharge and an IP65-rated case, in a 9 kg package.

Lithium NG is Victron's newest battery platform. Every battery has an integrated shunt that measures cell voltages, temperatures and current, and sends that data over a high-speed digital link to a Lynx Smart BMS 500 NG or Lynx Smart BMS 1000 NG. The BMS protects the battery, calculates state of charge, and controls your Victron chargers, inverter/chargers and solar charge controllers so they charge the battery correctly.

You can monitor the system with the VictronConnect app through the BMS's Bluetooth, on a GX device such as the Cerbo GX, or remotely through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. Battery firmware is updated automatically by the BMS.

Batteries can be connected in parallel, series or series/parallel to build 12V, 24V or 48V banks, with up to 50 batteries on a single Lynx Smart BMS NG.

Compatibility note:

A Lynx Smart BMS NG (500A or 1000A, M10) is required and sold separately. Lithium NG batteries are not compatible with the Lithium Smart BMS range (VE.Bus BMS, SmallBMS or Smart BMS). If your batteries are spread out, M8 circular connector extension cables are available in 1m to 5m lengths.

The BMS gives a pre-alarm when any cell drops below 3.0V, disconnects the loads below 2.8V, and stops charging when a cell rises above 3.6V or the battery gets too hot or too cold. Up to 5 BMS units can be paralleled.

Installation note:

Charging is not possible below +5°C, so in unheated spaces plan for the battery to stay above that temperature when it needs to charge. The battery can be mounted upright or on its side, but never with the terminals facing down. Secure it with straps or mounting brackets, and size all cabling, fusing and charge settings for your installation.
