Veevus Pearl Tinsel is a flat mylar tinsel crafted for fly tying, providing pearlescent flash and excellent breaking strength for ribbing, bodies and tags. Designed for precision wraps, Veevus tinsel lays flat and resists tearing—ideal for attractor nymphs, streamers and traditional steelhead patterns. Hareline Dubbin carries these spools in multiple sizes so you can choose the right width and meterage for your tying needs.
Use Veevus Pearl Tinsel to add subtle pearlescent flash to flies without adding bulk. The tinsel is excellent for fine ribbing on midges and nymphs, as an underbody on streamers, or as a tag on steelhead and trout patterns. Many tyers choose Veevus for its ease of wrapping, resistance to tarnish, and consistent results across multiple colors and spool sizes.
Specifications: Widths and spool meterage are manufacturer-provided (see sizes above). Packaged spool weight is approximately 0.5 oz and retail packaging dimensions are typically compact (estimated roughly 3.0" x 2.5" x 0.5")—useful for shipping and storage. Veevus Pearl Tinsel is compatible with standard bobbins and tying tools and is available through Hareline Dubbin and other fly-tying retailers.
