The Shimano Speedmaster II is a high-performance conventional reel built for serious offshore anglers, delivering powerful drag, smooth operation, and rock-solid durability when fighting big fish. Designed with a rigid Hagane Body, this reel maintains perfect alignment under heavy loads, ensuring consistent performance when it matters most.

The Speedmaster II features a wide, ultra-smooth drag range with impressive maximum drag power, giving you full control during long battles. Its Cross Carbon Drag system provides reliable pressure without hesitation, while the Super Free Spool design enhances casting performance and reduces resistance.

Built to handle harsh saltwater conditions, the reel includes corrosion-resistant S A-RB bearings and E.I surface treatment for long-lasting durability. The compact body design keeps the reel lightweight and comfortable without sacrificing strength, and a spare drag cam is included for optimized performance when using monofilament lines.

This model is ideal for trolling and offshore applications, pairing strength and precision with the trusted reliability Shimano reels are known for.

The Speedmaster II SPM12II offers a mono capacity of 20lb/350yd, 25lb/280yd, and 30lb/230yd, with PowerPro braid capacity of 50lb/580yd, 65lb/400yd, and 80lb/355yd. It weighs 25.7 oz and features 4 bearings, a 5.7:1 gear ratio, and retrieves 42 inches per crank. Maximum drag is rated at 40 lb.
