The Raymarine RNS-5 5-Port Gigabit RayNet Network Switch is a specialized device designed to expand onboard marine electronics networks. It links multiple Raymarine systems—such as Axiom Multifunction Displays, radar scanners, sonar modules, and FLIR thermal cameras—over a single high-speed infrastructure. Featuring five waterproof RayNet Ethernet ports, the switch supports data transfer rates of 10, 100, and 1000 Mbits/s, while also maintaining backwards compatibility with older SeaTalkhs and standard RJ45 adapters.
Built for harsh marine environments, the RNS-5 meets IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof standards and includes EN ISO 8846:2017 ignition protection for safe placement in engine rooms or enclosed spaces. Its scalable architecture allows multiple switches to be daisy-chained together, making it adaptable for both compact vessel setups and complex multi-display marine network configurations.
