The PENN Squall II Lever Drag Reel is a conventional lever-drag reel built for saltwater fishing and trolling, delivering reliable drag performance in a lightweight, corrosion-resistant graphite frame. PENN designed the Squall II to give anglers powerful line control for nearshore trolling, reef fishing, and targeting pelagics while keeping overall weight low for long fights.
Available in sizes from 25N through 60 (including a 40N high-speed model), the Squall II family suits a wide range of techniques—from kite fishing and trolling to bottom and reef work. Anglers choose PENN Squall II reels for the balance of power and lightweight handling; the one-piece graphite frame reduces fatigue during long battles while stainless components resist corrosion in saltwater environments.
Dimensions and weight vary by size; the packaged dimensions for the 25N model are approximately 7" L x 6" W x 4" H with a packaged weight of about 1.8 lb. The Squall II is compatible with conventional reel setups and works well with braided or monofilament lines and common trolling rod and harness systems.
