The Okuma Safyre A Series Spinning Reel delivers dependable performance for freshwater and inshore saltwater anglers. This spinning reel is built around Okuma's HDG+ high-density gearing and a machine-cut brass pinion to provide smooth, torque-driven retrieves under load while offering corrosion-resistant components for marine-grade use.
Okuma designed the Safyre to handle trout and bass in freshwater as well as popular inshore species like redfish and snook. The Flite Drive and Gear Stabilizing System provide a buttery smooth retrieve, while the machined aluminum screw-in handle ensures a wobble-free crank. The reel accepts monofilament, fluorocarbon and braided lines and pairs with standard spinning rods for a wide range of techniques.
Multiple gear ratios and spool sizes let anglers tailor retrieve speed and line capacity to their technique—available ratios include 4.5:1, 4.8:1 and 5.0:1 depending on model. Okuma's support network and common spare spools make it easy to service or upgrade your Safyre over time.
Packaged dimensions and weight vary by size: typical retail box weights are approximately 10 oz (2500), 12 oz (3000), 16 oz (4000) and 24 oz (5000). See variant details for boxed dimensions. Available in A-series sizes 2500–5000; contact Okuma for exact manufacturer packaging specs.
