Built with a revolutionary low-profile chassis, the Mustang EP38 inflatable ocean racing vest is engineered for the ocean racer.

Membrane Inflatable Technology^™ inside reduces weight and increases flexibility. The Hammar Hydrostatic Inflator Technology (HIT™) will automatically inflate under water pressure and not when you encounter rain, spray or high humidity.

The low-profile chassis is designed for a maximum range of motion during high-output grinding and sail changes. An integrated sailing harness with a soft tie-in keeps you safely tethered as you work.

The World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations (OSRs) require a PFD that complies with ISO 12402-3 (Level 150) or an equivalent standard, and the EP 38 Inflatable is built to the UL1180 Standard as a Type II inflatable PFD, and which World Sailing has deemed as equivalent standard.

For further equivalency, the Mustang EP38 is fitted with accessories required by the ISO12402-3 Standard but not by the UL1180 Standard. These additional features include:

• Spray hood that meets ISO12402-8 requirements
• Safety harness that meets ISO12401 requirements
• Marine grade whistle
• More than 300 cm2 of marine-grade retro-reflective tape
