The Mustang Survival MD3183 T3 is a high-visibility inflatable PFD built with Hydrostatic Inflator Technology (HIT). It only inflates automatically once submerged in 4 or more inches of water, so it won't trigger from rain, spray, or humidity. The inflator is maintenance-free for 5 years from the date of manufacture or until it's inflated.

Constructed from ANSI-approved fluorescent yellow-green material with 64 sq. in. of reflective tape, this PFD is worn by police, EMS, and traffic controllers for maximum visibility. Once inflated, it provides 38 lb of buoyancy — roughly twice the flotation of most foam PFDs. A status indicator window shows green when it's armed and ready to go.

The patented SecureZip closure keeps the PFD securely fastened during rigorous activity while still opening effortlessly on inflation. It includes a strobe light holder, safety whistle, SOLAS reflective tape on the bladder, a backup oral inflation tube, a D-ring for kill-switch attachment, and a Neoprene Comfort Collar. The cylinder sits inside the bladder to protect it from corrosion.
