The Mustad Notorious Octopus Bait Hooks are purpose-built bait hooks that deliver dependable hooking power and corrosion resistance for saltwater anglers. Featuring AlphaPoint 4.8 Technology and Opti-Angle needle points, these octopus hooks penetrate quickly and hold securely during aggressive fights. The Titan Steel finish provides 500+ hours of saltwater corrosion resistance, making Mustad Notorious hooks a reliable choice for chunking, live bait, and bottom fishing.

Key Features

  • AlphaPoint 4.8 Technology: Combines Opti-Angle sharpening with a fine needle point for superior penetration and dependable holding power across baits.
  • Titan Steel Finish: Engineered to resist saltwater corrosion for 500+ hours, extending hook life in marine conditions.
  • Classic Octopus Design: Offset shank, tight gap, ringed up eye and forged construction for secure bait presentation and increased strength (1X Strong, 2X Short geometry).

Designed with a tight gap and offset shank, the Notorious hook keeps bait centered and improves hookups on natural baits, chunk, or live presentations. Available in sizes from 1 through 6/0, Mustad Notorious hooks are suitable for species like snapper, grouper, bluefish and smaller tunas, and they rig easily with common leaders, swivels, and sinkers used in surf, boat, and pier fishing. Mustad’s manufacturing standards deliver consistent hook geometry and strength across sizes.
