Island Teak True Teak Oil is a genuine teak oil made with oils extracted from resin-rich, reclaimed teak wood, blended with pure tung nut oil. Made in Canada, it hardens naturally into a water-repellent, UV-resistant finish that won't chip or crack. That makes it a great choice for protecting boat teak, trim and outdoor patio furniture.

Key Features

  • True Teak Formula: Oils from reclaimed teak blended with pure tung nut oil, with only 25% mineral spirits.
  • Water Repellent & UV Resistant: Protects exterior wood from rain, spray and sun.
  • Won't Chip or Crack: Naturally hardening finish that won't crack like varnish, even when neglected.
  • Bare or Varnished Wood: Works on all wood species, either bare or over intact varnish.
  • Protects Varnish: Applied seasonally as a topcoat, it helps keep varnish from breaking down.
  • Builds With Each Coat: Every additional layer adds lustre and weather protection.

Whether you're refreshing the teak on your boat or bringing weathered patio furniture back to life, Island Teak True Teak Oil gives you a durable, lustrous finish that's simple to keep up season after season. Available in 1/2 L and 1 L sizes.

How to Apply

  1. Make sure the surface is free of oil and wax. If old varnish is flaking, sand down to bare wood first.
  2. Apply with a clean cotton cloth. Use enough to coat evenly, but not so much that it runs.
  3. Let it semi-harden for at least 2 hours and no more than 12 hours.
  4. Buff well with a clean cotton cloth until the surface feels smooth.
  5. For extra protection, add more coats after 24 hours or once the previous coat has fully hardened.

Note: True Teak Oil bonds to most solid surfaces except wax, including glass and stainless steel. Wipe any accidental contact clean with a solvent within the first hour.

Warning: Oil-soaked cloths can spontaneously combust if balled up in a warm place. Lay used cloths flat to harden, or submerge them in water.
