Hareline Saltwater Flashabou is a wider, heavier synthetic flash designed specifically for saltwater fly and lure tying. Hareline's Saltwater Flashabou delivers bright, lifelike flash and strong action in the water while resisting corrosion from harsh saltwater environments. Ideal for streamers, jigs, bucktails and baitfish patterns, this material gives flies and lures extra bulk and attraction.
Key Features
- Wider Tinsel (1/16 in): Wider, slightly stiffer strands provide increased visibility and lifelike movement in both saltwater and freshwater patterns.
- Generous Strand Count: Contains approximately 225 strands per pack, each about 10 in long, letting you tie multiple streamers and bucktails from a single pack.
- Durable Synthetic Material: Designed for saltwater use and durable in corrosive environments; works well for jigs, streamers, nymphs and bodies on dries.
Use Hareline Saltwater Flashabou to add flash, profile and bulk to pike and musky flies, baitfish imitations, and saltwater streamers. The material is compatible with standard fly-tying thread, adhesives and bucktail, and can be applied as individual strands or layered for fuller bodies and tails. Hareline's formulation holds color and flash in saltwater conditions so patterns maintain attraction longer between trips.
