Hareline Saltwater Flashabou is a wider, saltwater-rated flash material designed for fly tying and lure building. With slightly stiffer fibers, it holds profile in harsh saltwater conditions while adding intense flash to streamers, bucktails, nymphs and baitfish imitations. Each color pack contains approximately 225 strands measuring 1/16" wide and 10" long, giving ample material for multiple patterns and larger pike or musky flies.

Key Features

  • Saltwater Durable: Slightly stiffer fibers formulated to resist deterioration in saltwater patterns and maintain profile.
  • Size & Quantity: Approximately 225 strands per pack; 1/16" width and 10" length provide broad coverage and strong flash.
  • Versatility: Ideal for streamers, bucktails, baitfish bodies, nymphs and larger predator flies — can be layered, trimmed or bulked up.
  • Color Range: Available in metallic, pearl and holographic (holo) colors to match common tying patterns.

Fly tyers choose Hareline for consistent strand counts and color saturation. Saltwater Flashabou layers easily under bucktail or behind eyes on jigs and tubes and trims cleanly for precise shaping. Use it with common adhesives, thread wraps and other synthetic fibers to create lifelike baitfish profiles that reflect and flash at range. Hareline customers will find this material complements standard tying tools and lure-building components.
