Hareline Flashabou Original is a classic metallic fly tying material that adds bright, reflective flash to streamers, nymphs, dry fly wings and saltwater patterns. Each package contains approximately 1,700 strands measuring 1/69" wide and about 10" long, providing long, flexible fibers that reproduce the shimmer of baitfish and attract strikes. Widely distributed through Hareline Flashabou is a staple for tiers who need consistent color and length.

Key Features

  • Original Metallic Tinsel: Approximately 1,700 strands per pack; strands are 1/69" wide and 10" long for extended flash and lifelike movement.
  • Wide Color Range: Available in dozens of colors (Silver, Gold, Bronze, Pearl, Rainbow and specialty shades) to match local forage and water conditions.
  • Versatile Uses: Ideal for streamer wings and bodies, tailing, ribbing, and as a mylar tinsel replacement for both freshwater and saltwater patterns.
  • Easy to Work: Cuts and ties cleanly for precise placement on hooks and bodies; compatible with dubbing, threads, beads and epoxy head cement.
  • Lightweight Packaging: Typical packaged weight listed by retailers is around 0.01 lb, making it easy to store with other fly-tying materials.
