Hareline UV2 Select CDC delivers select CDC feathers treated with a UV2 dye system to boost ultraviolet reflectivity for improved fly visibility. This fly-tying material combines natural buoyancy and soft, undulating fibers to produce lifelike emergers, soft-hackle nymphs and dry-fly collars. Hareline's UV2 Select CDC is ideal for trout patterns where subtle floatation and extra visual contrast matter.

Key Features

  • UV2 Dyed: UV-reactive treatment increases visibility in low light and stained water.
  • Premium Select CDC: Carefully selected, neatly stacked quills with soft, buoyant fibers for natural movement.
  • Versatile Colors: Available in a range of colors (Pale Yellow #077 shown) for emergers, dries, and nymphs.

Fly tyers rely on Hareline UV2 Select CDC for its combination of realistic surface behavior and added UV contrast that can draw strikes during heavy hatches or low-visibility conditions. The soft fibers imitate insect bodies and gills without adding bulk, making this CDC well suited to delicate emerger silhouettes, soft-hackle patterns, and as a collar or thorax material. Hareline packages the material to protect quills so you receive usable feathers ready to tie.
