Hareline UV2 Select CDC are premium Cul de Canard (CDC) feathers treated with a UV2 process to enhance ultraviolet reflectance and make flies more visible during hatches. These soft, buoyant CDC feathers are ideal for fly tying applications where lifelike movement, natural flotation, and subtle UV flash help trigger strikes—especially on trout and other freshwater species.

Key Features

  • UV2 Treatment: Enhanced ultraviolet reflectance increases visibility to fish during mayfly and emerger hatches.
  • Premium CDC Selection: Carefully stacked, soft CDC quills provide natural flotation and a realistic profile for dry flies, emergers, and soft-hackle patterns.
  • Versatile Use: Works well for parachute emergers, soft hackles, dry fly bodies, and shuck/wing applications.
  • Neat Packaging: Materials are packaged to protect delicate quills and make storage and tying convenient.

Fly tyers choose Hareline UV2 Select CDC for its combination of natural feel and UV-enhanced visibility. Use these CDC feathers on mayfly emergers, comparaduns, parachute patterns, and soft-hackle attractors to add lifelike movement and subtle flash without overpowering the profile. Hareline CDC pairs well with Hareline dubbings, fine tying threads, and standard fly-tying hooks and tools.
