Hareline Schlappen are versatile, natural fly-tying feathers designed to add soft, webby movement and bulk to streamers, woolly buggers, steelhead and salmon patterns. Each pack contains approximately 1/4 oz (0.25 oz) of feathers with individual plumes measuring about 5–7 in, giving fly tiers lifelike action and a fuller profile on larger flies. Hareline Schlappen is a go-to material for anglers and tiers who need longer, softer hackles.
Hareline Schlappen pairs well with marabou, strung saddle hackle, chenille and other common fly-tying materials to build lively, durable streamer collars and large fly profiles. Fly tiers choose Hareline for consistent dye lots and the soft-webby structure that holds shape while offering excellent underwater movement. Whether tying steelhead intruders, big trout streamers, bass flies or larger saltwater baitfish patterns, these feathers create the size and action that attract attention.
Specifications: feather length 5–7 in; pack weight approx. 0.25 oz (1/4 oz). Packaged size is small-envelope style (estimated ~8 x 5 x 0.5 in). Compatible with standard fly-tying tools and materials. Hareline provides consistent color options and quality for reliable tying results.
