The Hareline Flashabou Original - Silver is a versatile fly tying flash material designed to add lifelike shimmer and subtle movement to streamers, saltwater patterns, nymph bodies and dry-fly wings. Hareline's Flashabou provides a marabou-like action in an ultra-fine mylar tinsel that stays lightweight and resists water absorption, giving tiers consistent flash without adding bulk.

Key Features

  • Material: Ultra-fine mylar tinsel that resists water, retaining action and color when wet.
  • Strand Size & Count: Approximately 1,700 strands per pack; strand width about 1/69 in and typical strand length 8–10 in (double-length/magnum packs also available).
  • Versatility: Ideal for wings, tails, body ribbing, streamer accents and saltwater flies.
  • Color Selection: Available in metallics, pearls and iridescent finishes—this variant is Silver.

Whether you are tying big streamers for saltwater or refining trout patterns for clear water, Hareline Flashabou ties in cleanly and layers well with marabou, bucktail, chenille and dubbing. Tiers of all levels choose Hareline for dependable color matching and easy handling; the synthetic fibers are simple to trim, stack and incorporate into complex patterns while maintaining a natural action that attracts fish.
