Hareline Flashabou Original is a versatile synthetic flash material designed for fly tying. Hareline Flashabou adds bright, mylar-like reflection to streamers, saltwater patterns, nymphs and more. Each packet contains approximately 1,700 strands about 1/69" wide and 10" long, giving a lively, reflective profile that increases visibility and attracts strikes in both freshwater and saltwater conditions.

Key Features

  • Material: Highly reflective synthetic strands that mimic mylar tinsel.
  • Size: ~1/69" strand width and 10" strand length; roughly 1,700 strands per pack.
  • Applications: Ideal for streamers, saltwater flies, bug bodies, tails, wings and ribbing.
  • Colors: Wide color range including Grape for quick color matching and customization.
  • Compatibility: Works with dubbing, tying thread, adhesives and standard fly-tying tools.

Hareline Flashabou lets tiers add clean, flat flash without bulk — strands lay smoothly and tie in easily, so you can build realistic profiles and vibrant accents. Use it alone or mix with other synthetics to tweak movement and hue. Anglers and tiers rely on Hareline for consistent color and strand count across packs, making it simple to reproduce successful patterns in freshwater or saltwater fishing.
