Hareline Dubbin Schlappen Feathers (5-7") are webby, soft rooster saddle hackles designed for fly tying. These long, flowing feathers deliver excellent movement and lifelike action for streamers, woolly buggers, salmon/steelhead flies and larger freshwater or saltwater patterns. Each pack contains approximately 1/4 oz (0.25 oz) of schlappen material, available in a wide range of colors to match common tying needs.
Fly tiers choose Hareline Schlappen for the dense, flowing profile and dependable texture it adds to larger flies. Hareline quality ensures consistent feather length so you can trim and stack fibers predictably, and the schlappen pairs exceptionally well with marabou, chenille, flash and dubbing to build lifelike baitfish and large insect imitations. The soft webby fibers provide excellent action at slow retrieve speeds and when fished in current—making them a versatile choice whether you tie freshwater streamers or saltwater patterns.
Packaged dimensions vary by retailer, but packs are compact and designed to accommodate 5–7" fibers. See variant listings for color-specific SKUs and availability.
