Hareline Crosscut Rabbit Strips are premium fly-tying rabbit strips cut across the grain so the hair lays back when wound, producing a sleek, palmered body or zonker tail. Designed for streamers, leeches and a wide variety of freshwater and saltwater flies, each pack contains four strips approximately 10" long for consistent wrapping and lifelike movement.

Key Features

  • Crosscut Cut: Fibers are cut across the hide so the hair flows back and lays flat when wrapped for a streamlined profile.
  • Pack Contents: Four strips per package, each about 10" long—ready for palmering, tails or collars.
  • Wide Color Range: Dyed in popular streamer colors by Hareline for consistent, vibrant tones.
  • Grade A Hides: Long guard hairs and full-bodied fur for durability and natural action in the water.
  • Versatile Use: Works well with thread, Superbraid, adhesives and epoxy heads for both freshwater and saltwater patterns.

Fly tyers choose Hareline Crosscut Rabbit Strips for predictable fiber orientation and ease of tying. The crosscut hair slicks back when wrapped, creating a natural, fish-attracting silhouette ideal for streamers, intruders, steelhead jigs and zonker tails. Hareline's consistent dyeing and grading mean reliable color matching across packs for repeatable patterns.
