Hareline Cactus Chenille is a versatile fly tying chenille designed to add durable flash and lifelike texture to your flies. This synthetic chenille from Hareline features pearlescent fibers that create subtle shimmer, making it ideal for woolly buggers, streamers, nymphs and jig bodies. Each package contains approximately 3 yards (9 feet) of material for multiple patterns.

Key Features

  • Pearlescent Flash: Iridescent fibers woven through the chenille add sparkle that catches light and attracts fish.
  • Shaggy, Durable Texture: Short, resilient fibers give a full-bodied profile that holds up to repeated use and retains movement underwater.
  • Sizes & Colors: Available in Medium and Large sizes and many colors (including Purple #298) to match a variety of patterns and water conditions.

Fly tyers choose Hareline Cactus Chenille for its ease of use and ability to bulk up bodies quickly. The material wraps smoothly around hook shanks and ties in cleanly for consistent, professional-looking flies. Use it for trout and bass streamers, woolly buggers, jig bodies for panfish, and any pattern that benefits from added flash and texture. Hareline's formulation resists excessive water absorption and fraying so flies last longer on the water.
