The Hardy Lightweight Fly Reel is a classic fly reel designed for trout and salmon anglers who value a durable, easy-to-use spool. Handmade in Alnwick, England, this Lightweight series reel combines traditional design with modern materials to deliver reliable performance on freshwater rivers. Features a precision click-check drag and a large-arbor spool for fast line pickup and reduced memory.

Key Features

  • Handmade Construction: Crafted in Alnwick, England for consistent fit and finish.
  • Durable Materials: 6061 bar-stock aluminium with an anodised finish for corrosion resistance and long life.
  • Click-Check Drag: Reliable, easy-to-adjust drag that performs on trout and salmon runs.
  • Reversible Retrieve & Pouch: Easily switches left/right hand wind and ships with a neoprene reel pouch for protection.

Whether you're stalking trout on small streams or targeting salmon on larger rivers, the Hardy Lightweight offers responsive drag control and long-term durability. The high-grade aluminium frame keeps overall weight low while the large-arbor spool improves line pickup and reduces memory. The classic single-screw line guard and simple mechanical layout make this reel straightforward to service in the field. Hardy's handmade approach ensures consistent tolerances and a smooth retrieve that anglers have trusted for decades.

Choose the Hardy Lightweight for a proven heritage reel that balances light weight, smooth performance, and classic styling from a trusted brand.
