Crafted by Hardy Bros in Alnwick, England, this compact reel (3 1/8" diameter, 5.68 oz / 161 g) features a deep anodized gunmetal finish and the original 1912 Perfect check mechanism for dependable performance on delicate presentations.

It accepts a WF5 fly line with backing (WF5 + 75 yd of 20 lb Dacron noted in specs) and offers a low 0.5 lb max drag suitable for light to medium freshwater work. The compact 3 1/8" size and 5.68 oz weight make it easy to carry all day while maintaining precise line control. Available in left- and right-hand configurations, the Hardy 1912 Perfect pairs well with traditional fly rods and modern setups alike.
