The Gyotaku T-shirt celebrates one of the oldest ways anglers documented their catch, inspired by the traditional Japanese technique of printing real fish onto paper. This shirt is designed for those who appreciate both time on the water and the stories behind each fish landed.
Created in collaboration with Washington fisherman and gyotaku artist Cody Hagen, the artwork on this T-shirt showcases the raw detail of a King Chinook and a Dungeness crab. Every scale, fin and contour reflects the original gyotaku method, where fresh fish were wrapped in mulberry paper to preserve their exact shape.
Made for everyday wear on the pier, boat or along the coast, the Gyotaku T-shirt connects modern sport fishing with a long-standing maritime tradition. It is a straightforward, comfortable choice for anglers who like their clothing to say something about where they spend their time.
