The Gibbs Kit-A-Mat spoon is a heavy-gauge brass casting spoon designed for large rivers and lakes. Built to deliver extra casting distance and depth, the Kit-A-Mat's wobbling action attracts salmon, trout and other game fish. The Kit-A-Mat #55 measures 2 3/8" (2.375") and is specified at 3/4 oz, making it a balanced option for medium-to-heavy freshwater setups.
Gibbs designed the Kit-A-Mat for anglers targeting fish in currents and open-water lake conditions where casting distance and depth matter. The brass body helps maintain momentum on long casts while the pronounced wobble keeps the spoon visible and active in the strike zone. Use the Kit-A-Mat for casting, light trolling or jigging presentations where attraction and reach are priorities.
Specifications (manufacturer): #32 = 1 1/4" (1/4 oz); #45 = 1 7/8" (1/2 oz); #55 = 2 3/8" (3/4 oz); #65 = 2 5/8" (1 oz); #80 = 3 1/4" (1 5/8 oz). The Gibbs Kit-A-Mat pairs well with medium-to-heavy freshwater setups and is compatible with standard split rings and trebles. Gibbs is known for durable, field-tested lures—choose the Kit-A-Mat model that matches your target species and conditions.
