Description
The SS-2 is the most popular of the GAM Mini Series. It comes with a 40” whip and can be tuned to Marine VHF frequencies, AIS, or any frequency within the 144-174 MHz VHF spectrum, (cut chart included). The compact antenna is suitable for both land and sea application and is hermetically sealed in a stainless steel canister to ensure life longevity.
- The GAM SS-2 VHF Antenna is GAM’s most popular of the Mini Series
- It can be tuned for Marine VHF frequencies, AIS, or any frequency within the 144-174 MHz Spectrum
- Total Length of the Antenna Whip is 40? (MHz Cut Chart is Included)
- The Antenna should be trimmed to length to establish the desired Frequency
- A Marine VHF antenna is center tuned to 156.8MHz (Whip needs to be cut to 35”)
- An AIS VHF antenna is center tuned to 162.0 MHz (Whip needs to be cut to 33.5”)
- The Antenna should be trimmed to length to establish the desired Frequency
- Hand-wound loading coil is factory tuned and tested to insure peak performance at a specified frequency
- Stainless steel coil housing
- Coil is hermetically sealed to prevent moisture damage
- No ground plane required
