The GCX Steelhead series was developed with input from elite guides and ambassadors to match rod action and power to the constantly changing conditions steelhead anglers face — shifting flows, changing turbidity, and holding lies that vary from run to run.
Rods in the series are rolled on stepped mandrels with micro-tapers machined at specific points, reinforcing the areas most likely to fail under load for added durability. The series covers spinning, casting, float, and centerpin models in a range of lengths and handle configurations, and is designed and rolled entirely at G. Loomis' Woodland, WA facility.
