The ECHO Overcast Fly Rod - Matte Black/Red is a purpose-built saltwater fly rod designed to generate more line speed without sacrificing feel. Developed with Flip Pallot and Tim Rajeff, this 9'3" 4-piece rod gives anglers extra leverage for casting into wind, reaching distant targets, and turning over larger flies on flats, mangroves, beaches, and open saltwater.
ECHO built the Overcast for anglers who need power in the wind but still want enough feel for short, accurate casts. The firm, responsive action helps punch tight loops with confidence while retaining the touch needed for technical presentations around cover and moving fish.
This ECHO fly rod includes an impact-resistant rod roll designed for easy transport and carry-on-friendly travel. It does not include a hard tube, making it a practical choice for anglers who prefer compact storage without giving up protection.
