The ARCO A225S is a high-output marine alternator built for demanding electrical systems on boats, RVs, and commercial or military vessels. It's designed to rapidly charge large battery banks and support heavy onboard power loads, reducing how often you need to run a separate generator.
The A225S delivers strong output at idle and holds sustained high-amperage performance at cruising RPM. Heat-shedding coatings, an externally mounted rectifier, and dual internal cooling fans let it run roughly 8-20% cooler than conventional alternators, which helps maintain consistent output and extends service life in hot engine rooms.
Construction and Compatibility
The advanced E-Coat and Cerakote finish options improve thermal efficiency and add corrosion resistance for saltwater use. OEM-grade internal components and an external regulation design let it integrate with advanced charging systems, including lithium battery setups when paired with the ARCO Zeus Bluetooth Alternator Regulator.
The A225S is SAE J1171 ignition protected and is built in the United States. It's available in configurations supporting internal/external or external-only voltage regulation.
This alternator suits vessels running large house banks, lithium battery systems, high-draw electronics, refrigeration, inverters, or extended off-grid power setups.
