These Current Atlas Tables were developed for use with Part A of the Canadian Hydrographic Service’s publication Current Atlas – Juan de Fuca Strait to Georgia Strait, which cover the waters of eastern Juan de Fuca Strait, Georgia Strait, and the passages and straits in between. These tables are designed to provide a quick method for determining the correct current chart for any hour throughout the year. Tables are based on the long method for determining the correct chart as described on the inside front cover of the Atlas, with adjustments for extra-short and extra-long tidal cycles.
