I have 2 of the same Daiwa reels on 2 other rods as well as a Shimano on a rod which nearly costs twice as much as the Daiwa yet the Daiwa is a much nicer real to use. When you open them both up for maintenance, the guts are virtually identical. The Harbour Chandler's price of $109.99 can't be beat, Amazon's price for the same reel is $154.99.
