Shipping & Returns
Orders can be expected to be received within 4 to 7 business days. We use Canada Post Xpresspost™/FedEx®.
Hazardous or toxic items such as paint, flares, fire extinguishers, epoxies, compressed gas and some maintenance products may not be economical or allowed to be shipped depending on regulations and destination. These items can be shipped as ground freight only and will not be included in the free shipping option. We will contact you if it is not feasible or cost effective to ship to you.
Oversized, overweight items such as dinghies will have to be shipped by truck and will be subject to applicable freight charges.
Free ground shipping is offered (Canada Post or FedEx®) within Canada (excluding Ontario, Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, Kingcome Inlet and Kitkatla) on most orders of $119 or more (pre-tax). Some items (as well as non-stock, special orders) are exempt from free shipping due to weight/size such as, but not limited to, downriggers, line haulers, boats, motors, appliances, anchors, paint, and all hazardous items. We will inform you of any additional shipping charges prior to shipment. Remote areas are also exempt from this offer. If you live in a remote area, please contact us prior to ordering, so we can advise you of shipping charges prior to shipment.
Flat Rate Shipping:
Flat rate shipping is offered for those orders/items that would have qualified for free shipping if the order was over $120. Some items (as well as non-stock special orders) are exempt from flat rate shipping due to weight and /or size. Items excluded but not limited to, downriggers, line haulers, boats, motors, appliances, anchors, paint, cannonballs,and all hazardous items. We will inform you of the shipping charge prior to shipping. Remote areas are also exempt from this offer. If you live in a remote area, please contact us prior to ordering so we can advise you of shipping charges prior to shipping.
All orders ship from our store located in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. The recipient is responsible for all duties, taxes, customs and applicable brokerage fees. Please contact your local customs office for an estimate of these fees before placing your order.
Returns & Exchanges
We stand behind everything we sell. If at any time you are not satisfied with your purchase at The Harbour Chandler, you can return it for a replacement or refund except as noted below.
We do carry several items that cannot be returned: items with expiration dates such as flares, fire extinguishers, charts, and annual publications; items registered to the purchaser such as boats, motors, EPIRBS, PLBs; customized items such as splicing, cut lengths of rope, wire or hose; special order items or clearance items.
Returns made within 30 days of purchase with a receipt (or proof of purchase) will be refunded with the original payment type. If a refund is requested after 30 days of purchase with a receipt, your refund will be issued in the form of a store credit. If a return is requested without a receipt, there will be a 20% restocking fee and the refund will be issued in the form of a store credit. All returns must have the original packaging and the product must be in new and re-sellable condition.
Warranty Returns & Exchanges
If a product purchased at The Harbour Chandler has failed or is not working as specified within the manufacturer’s specified warranty period, the purchaser or user must provide proof of date of purchase in the form of a receipt. Once the purchase has been confirmed, the product has to be sent to our warranty depot to be tested. After the failure and date of purchase has been confirmed, we will issue a full refund for the amount purchased or an exchange with a new product.
If your purchase is over $200 we may require photo id before shipping the item.
